   -they are solders
   
   -they are tourist attractions (otherwise would not dress and do these ceremonial thing that has nothing to do with guarding anyone)
   
   -just like any other human beings they should be respected

   Thoughts:
   
   -some tourists in this video are quite pushy I aggrege, but nobody actually harmful physically or verbally… so disrespecting them is a bit of a statement. Also when tourists are in public places and those gourds walking over them. Nothing indicates that it is their way so if anyone they are disrespecting a person who happens to stand in their way.

3. Why are the police not there to make sure that the guards are able to go about their business and tourists are behaving themselves?

6. I don't understand why tourists that touch the royal guards don't get arrested and then exported back home not before they paid a hefty fine.

9. I'm a Veteran. I took a picture with the guards. I asked the guard for permission first; got a slight Nod and took the picture. These Guards are serious and will react accordingly.

11. The ‘Royal Guards’ are the to do their job. TO PROTECT THE ROYAL FAMILY!! TO THE TOURISTS, STOP BEING SO GOD DAMNED IGNORANT AND ENTITLED!!

12. Spoiler alert…they have to yell and be curt at all times, its tradition. They are not allowed to speak in a normal tone of voice to the public when on duty. (they are allowed to speak quietly to children if required but its proffered they we yell at their parents instead.)

18. Why do they bother these guards , I see these videos all the time pop up on my phone and it's always so dumbass harassing the guards . They aren't there to be harassed or bothered . And they should have a sign up saying, if you mess with a guard and they beat you down you cannot sue . Some of The beefeaters carry machine guns , so why would you screw with a guy with a gun that has the right to mess you up by law. I don't get it , people are stupid as hell.

24. The ones in Thailand are way way waaaaaay more zealous and probably a lot more dangerous. They will shoot first and shout after. On a side note, they take no guff from foreigners criticizing their monuments, much the opposite of what happens in the US. Step yer game up America.

26. Although they are very spectacularly dressed they are not a display. Their firearms are very real and they are very well trained. They are meant to be seen and should be respected and feared. At a moments notice they are willing to laydown their lives to protect the monarchy. Visitors should never be allowed to get this close to a guard at his post. I have the utmost respect for the soldiers that are accepted to this post. It is a great service and the psychological demands are great.
